Gaven bent down, gripping the side of the door to keep his balance, his knees cracking in the process. He peered his head into the dark shadows of The Food Mart the day light only seem to light the very first couple of feet inside the store beyond that was darkness or better yet delicious Peanut-butter Wafers. That's why Gaven left the safety zone of Mars and Emory right? He was always in and out with them, leaving then coming back in a couple hours and the best thing was Mars never realized he was gone. Now Gaven was hungry and he was craving Wafers and there was nothing that was going to stop him, nothing could when he was hungry. He lifted his hand up to the iron Lewie ville slugger in his back pack that he had stolen from his step father on the day he had found him turned to a zombie. Gaven couldn't help, but to look back on the memoir, it made his stomach twist into knots, but he couldn't think about that right now not if he wanted to stay alive. Gaven took a deep breath from his gas mask has he crawled on all fours into the abounded food market. As he made it past the cash register and the light faded. He picked himself off the floor brushing the dust off his pants. He looked around the store in on big circle motion. He dropped his Skateboard in the place he stood and slowly walked forward into the darkness. He took a sharp turn to the left, a fast, but quiet pace as he peered into each ail looking for the sweets. His stomach made a low growl in a quick motion he pressed on hand deep into his abdomen. The sound seem to echo threw the store, he looked around listening deeply for anything that might lurking.
He tiptoed half way down until he crossed The peanut-butter wafers and snowballs. His mouth started to water just by looking at them. Gaven quickly griped the book bag swinging it around setting on the floor. The baseball bat hit the floor and rolled out stopping a good three feet away. The noise had set his teeth on edge as he griped the edges of his baseball cap, stiff as stone. His eye's searching the hallway, his heart beating as fast as a jackrabbit. He finally let out a soft moan. Grabbing as many boxes of wafers and snowballs as his hands could hold and stuffing them into the bag. His hands moving at abnormally fast speed. As he got the last remains of anything remotely close to wafers, a low growl sound was heard and the floor creaked ten feet away. Gaven didn't have the strength to look up. He grabbed the bag, swinging it over his shoulders. He ran the three feet swiftly grabbed the baseball bat off the ground. Another loud shriek was heard. Gaven whip up his head as he slowly backed away. It was a girl maybe in her late thirties, slowly moving Gaven's way. Gurgling with every step with one arm and half of her neck gone. She seem to jump with each step, spitting out blood in the process her dark brown, blood crusted hair matted to her face. Gaven just stood there dumbfounded as she made one step forward, he moved two steps back. Until he felt someones hot breath on the back of his neck. He back away slamming into the shelf, Another one this time a man in a business suit. He lunged after Gaven, but he had already donged the attack. The zombie had landed face first on the floor. The dead women was already within four feet of Gaven then the male zombie was slowly making his way up. Gaven took one last look before making a quick lung and making his legs move towards his skateboard then finally out the door. He was only about three cash registers away from where he set his board down. The two zombies hadn't caught up with him yet so they must have been newly dead. If there was ever such a saying. Keeping his sight set forward out of the left corner another had ran into the light screeching, it's head off. It was a big bald bulky man covered in tattoo's. As Gaven forced his legs to run and thought how it wasn't even possible for his legs to move in a situation like this. It was proably just fear and the thought of dying that kept him alive. He screamed the whole time he ran towards the door, picking his skateboard up trying his best not to think about the flesh-eating zombies on his back. The light shined down from the sky and finally Gaven could see the clear path ed road in front of him and it was zombie free, couldn't say that much for behind him. He flipped the board on the ground and hopped on, pushing his right leg off the ground. He dare not look back, that was one thing you just weren't suppose to do, looking back would get yourself killed. Though Gaven knew he wasn't in the clear just yet. He could still hear the oldest zombie screeching behind him and the other two following swiftly behind. Gaven only had one baseball bat and he had just gotten use to taking out two at a time and even that was a work out. In the lords name he did all this for some goddamn peanut-butter wafers. This was just the kind of story you told around a campfire. Gaven's breaths started to come out in gasps and his legs started to become weak. He couldn't keep this up forever he would tire out soon and that meant zombie chow for him. He somehow needed to keep this just long enough to get to a hospitable or safe hiding place. Though he couldn't be rash which was impossible for him, going onto someone's territory would be just as bad. Gaven finally looked back, the three zombies where still going at it. "Damn they never give up don't they" Gaven thought to himself. Then look forward and pushed onward.[/blockquote]
