LEADER
These are the king-pins of the alliances. There are three - one for each alliance, and their job is to oversee the 'business' of the respective alliance; hiding anything from them will be extremely hard.
These three don't go out on missions as much as other gang members do; they are more the organising behind the missions. After all, if one of them was to be killed, their entire alliance would be sent spiraling into chaos - well, more chaos than currently.
The leaders need to be extremely strict to keep everything in order - punishing your followers keeps them in line, and hell, in a zombie-ridden hellhole, order is needed. Each leader adopts a different leadership style - the Nyx leader leaning more towards a strict autocracy, the Inferi leader with autocracy and the.. Well, no one really knows how the Koios are run.
Positions available:
Inferi - 1/1
Koios - 1/1

COUNCIL MEMBERS
These are the guys just below the leaders, because after all, every group needs the 'elite', right? From time to time, the leader needs some time off and these guys are the ones who take over during this period. If anything were to happen to the king-pin, then certainly one of these would be chosen to be the next dictator.
The council members are respected almost as highly as the leader, and disregarding one of these would be almost certain death. They are dangerous people with calm faces - most battling silently with the other council members in a power-hungry struggle for leadership. Corruption is no stranger to this group.
Positions available:
Nyx - 3/5
Inferi - 5/5
Koios - 5/5

CO-ORDINATORS
I guess you could call these the 'brains' of the group - even the Nyx, the blood-thirsty fighters, have co-ordinators - after all, someone needs to plan where to place the explosives so that their own soldiers aren't blown to smithereens. The co-ordinators often devise the battle plans, submit them to the council members and then, after been overseen, are submitted to the leader and then executed by the hitmen and the soldiers.
The co-ordinators are arguably the most important sector within the groups: without them, mankind would probably have nuked itself many, many years ago. And what with al the brain-eating, there aren't many of these guys left.

HITMEN
Another name for these would be the 'elite fighters' - to put it simply, they are the best of the best fighters. These people are good enough to be sent out on small-group, or sometimes even solitary, missions and are trusted enough to execute their orders and return in one piece.
They're good at fighting, they're very strong and they're tricky little bastards - good luck killing them. They're often called upon by the leader for 'high priority' missions. That's all you need to know. Stay out of their way.
Positions available:
Nyx - 4/5
Inferi - 5/5
Koios - 5/5

SOLDIERS
Your average-joes are in here. These are the normal soldiers who are sent out on a daily basis on a variety of different missions - from supplying food to other camps to searching for outcasts to seeking out, and destroying, the enemy. This is the sector most in abundance as very little brain-power is needed to hold a gun. And fire it in the right direction. That isn't saying that there is no casualties, anyway.
It is also considered the most 'dangerous' sector to be in. Maybe because they have the highest fatality rate..

SCAVENGERS
This is a small sector within the alliance - these are basically those who are sent out 'hunting' for food. They will be often sent outside to search through abandoned and derelict buildings to obtain food and supply it to the rest of the alliance. This sector is widely looked down upon because it is seen as 'low' and 'weak', but hey, most chose this job because they like it. After all, you get to do a hell of a lot of exploring outside. With less guns and bombs surrounding them.
These people are generally quick on their feet and need to be pretty agile - after all, zombies can pop up at any moment. And crawling through those tiny, smashed windows can prove tricky.

WORKERS
Ah, the workers. These are a mixture of people, all with different roles within the alliance. They vary in task greatly, hence their all being bundled into one group called the 'workers'.
These people range from weapon specialists to chefs to the 'clean up crew' (a bunch of people with the lovely task of cleaning up the dead and decaying); from the medical team to the gun cleaners to the 'runners' (messengers sent, literally running, to other parts of the city in order to deliver messages - telephones and cable aren't always reliable); from the technicians to the explosive-masters to the simple 'unemployed' (those who have no role within the alliance - usually because of a handicap. those who can work, will work. even children. children make good runners. just watch out for the snipers).
If you can't find a job in the other sections, then most likely you'll find it in here.

SPIES
As if you didn't think it possible, but these creeps are looked down upon even more than the rookies. There are only a handful of them within each alliance, but man, are they hated. The spies are people sent out to do exactly that - spy on other alliances. Or maybe even the zombies. Their information is usually relayed back directly to the co-ordinators so that suitable plans can be made accordingly, after all, every group needs information gatherers, don't they?
These people are usually very sneaky and sly in nature, due to their need to remain unnoticed and inconspicious - they need to be able to manipulate people and make them believe what they want them to believe - or they'll surely be killed, especially if attempting to infiltrate an enemy alliance.. Hence why they are loathed.
Positions available:
Nyx - 3/3
Inferi - 3/3
Koios - 3/3
