OVERALL PERSONALITY
There are three words that make the majority of Ebony Leeland Marks up.
Sarcastic.
Worrisome.
Resilient.
Sarcastic, to say the least of course. Ebony usually has a negative attitude towards most things, and rarely takes emotions seriously. She's picky about what's right and what's wrong, and usually never takes humor well, mainly because it just isn't that funny to her, or she just doesn't get your 'joke'. Ebony's always got a quick witted remark waiting on the tip of her tongue, and is rarely caught off guard by insults-- she's just so used to them (you have to be with a twin like Evian).
Worrisome, and extremely so. It's almost sad how much Ebony can worry about one person, even though she hides it half the time. Once Ebony becomes attached (and she rarely does), she's like a leech, constantly badgering you with questions like 'What are your plans for the day?', or demands such as 'Stop being such an idiot, please. It's not healthy.' Don't worry about Ebony though. She can handle herself and her emotions. Or so she thinks, at least.
Resilient. The girl just doesn't know how to give up. Ebony will never give up on a person, and she'll never give up on her will to survive. She's a fighter, for sure, and her quick mind has a tendency of helping her out most of the time. She always has a plan 99.9% of the time, and always seems prepared. Ebony's a smart girl, and she thinks that she can not only handle herself, but the rest of the world, too.
Ebony Marks is a lot to handle, and a lot to take in. You have to take her in slowly, bit by bit. Like dark chocolate.
Bittersweet.

HISTORY
Ebony Leeland Marks, happens to be a twin. A fraternal one at that, but still. Twins are twins.
Born during a blizzard that happened to black out the whole city of New Jersey on December 28th, Ebony and Evian Marks have been causing trouble since birth. After all, it's not so convenient to be born during a black out.
Ebony happens to pride herself on being the oldest twin (Four minutes, woo!), and it seems that four minutes can make all the difference.
They started out in grade school at the age of five like any normal kids did, but little Ebony was just too much for teachers to handle-- so they bumped her up a grade. Ebony became the apparent smarter of the two, and her cockiness only grew with each passing day. By the time she was seven, she was already declaring herself queen of the playground, demanding that all others bow down to 'Queen Ebony'. And they were usually forced to do so by the constant jabbing of Evian, the joker.
But soon adolescent years passed, and the rulers of the playground became the jokes of the school, soon falling beneath thepeasantsother students, and becomingthe street ratsthe losers of the heap. For some ungodly reason, the king and queen had fallen from their mighty throne, and were now humbled. Not all was too bad though. Evian and Ebony grew much closer and even became friends-- to say the least. They were thicker than thieves, pranking and plotting against the others with Ebony's brain and Evian's daring attitude. Quite the dynamic duo, honestly.
But fun times soon came to an end. And the street rats of the school soon found themselves to be the street rats of the real world. The plague hit, and the beloved mother and father of the two were one of the first to be wiped out. Lucky them-- They didn't have to live long enough to witness the true hell.
They hid from it all mainly, too confused or scared, or both even, to actually do something other than cry. But soon things died down, and the world the came back to was changed-- and dead. The dead were walking, the living were hiding or fighting, and the street rats were lost. Everything falls into a certain swing though, as unnatural as it may seem, and soon Evian and Ebony were providing for themselves. Evian protected, Ebony planned. The dynamic duo were now fighting for their lives.
Before long though, they came across the 'Koios'. The most sense bearing of all of these newfound alliances in Ebony's opinion. Things are the same, in a sense, as they were a few years back. The street rats only fight for survival, just like everyone else in the world, and the ex-queen only hopes one day, for a new beginning.

SAMPLEFuck this. Fuck all of this. His first day here and already he had made too many fucking enemies to count. 'Good fucking gob, Tommy.', the Sargent would probably say, making fun of his lack of self control, when in reality his father's own self control was worse than Tommy's. Eh, like father like son. He clutched his bleeding arm and trailed down the hallway and away from the scene of the crime (the crime being beating the hell out of shawn woodcrest), leaving a trail of blood down the hall as he went. These pricks just thought that they could mess with him that easily? HA. Fuck that. He would get them back. He had already gotten the Shawn kid back-- now all that was left was that Bridget Bitch. He walked away from them, letting out a small laugh filled with hate, loathing, and hilarity as he planned out his next move. He opened the door to his car and sat down, putting his keys in the ignition and slamming the door shut. 'Mother fuckers...', he thought. Still fuming.
First stop would be the hospital. Sure-- he would rather not go, but damn it, the bleeding was getting way to out of hand. And he'd rather not leave his blood all over the scene of the crime he was about to commit. He barely even noticed as the doctor threaded the needle through his skin-- Tommy was too busy scheming. He actually laughed, which made the doctor jump back. Most people jumped away from Tommy's laughter anyways. It was so cold and unnatural. Like it just shouldn't be there. As soon as the doctor said he was finished Tommy walked out, ignoring the pleading that he stay and get his pain meds. He shrugged though, thinking that popping a few Tylenol a day would take care of his problem. He still clutched his arm though, annoyed by the burning jabs it was sending through his shoulder and through his mind. Quit damn it!, he though, almost squeezing it.
Second stop would be the gas station-- Tommy had a gas can in the trunk, just in case... well, it was just there. He pulled up to a pump and filled the can with gasoline, smirking as it began to overflow. He let it though, and threw the pump on the ground, not even bothering to pay for the gas as he drove off, followed by angry yells and threats. "Whatever.", he mumbled, speeding now to fifth avenue. It didn't take much to find out where Swatch was. All you had to do was ask a local dumbass of Esperer. "Oh! Are you getting a lollipop??? There sooo good there. You really should try them.", the girl had said. She had the whole brown hair, cutesy thing going on, and she definitely tried to flirt with Tommy, but he ignored her. Although he would remember to try and get a Lollipop before he left. He laughed loudly at this thought. 'Nice, Tommy.', he checked the review mirror. Smooth. No cops. It was as if he was a shadow tonight. Hopefully that state of being would remain.
Third stop-- the scene of the crime. When he got to the candy store, it was unnaturally empty and quiet. Mainly because it was late at night, but still, this was just perfect for Tommy. He drove slowly into the alley behind the store and turned the car off. He got out, this time not slamming the door shut and rounded back around to the trunk of his car, pulling out the gas can and the lighter in his pocket. He closed it as quietly as possible and pulled up his hood, just in case there were camera's outside the place. He then made his way to the store and grinned as he patted the brick wall. Yeah. Might as well give it one last goodbye before the place went down in flames. He couldn't wait to see his work in the paper-- the rubble. The ashes. It made him excited, almost. He walked across the wall, searching for a back door in the dark. When his hand touched the cold metal of the door he grinned and fumbled with the door handle. 'Holy shit. They actually left it unlocked.' It was as if it were fated for Tommy to do this.
He pushed it open slowly, almost expecting alarms to go off. But still-- nothing. Tommy smirked. This was just too fucking good. He walked in and left the door open, propping it open with a near by stool. A wave of sugar immediately hit his nostrils, making him wrinkle his nose. He had never really liked candy... it rotted your teeth. He figured he was doing the dentists of New York a big favor by doing this. Tommy uncapped the lid of the gas can, throwing it to the side. 'Time to start.', he laughed and began dumping gasoline everywhere. On top of the counter, next to the chocolates and many assortments of bubble gum, and even on top of the lollipops and suckers (not before he grabbed a cherry sucker for himself of course). He laughed and threw the gas can to the side, pulling the lighter out. "Watch it burn...", he said as he brought the flame to life. The smell of the lighter fluid mixed with the smell of gasoline and candy. And then, the lighter was out of his hand, and on the floor, the fire starting quickly and suddenly. He let out another loud laugh, almost doubling over. "That's what you mother fuckers get!", he yelled out, hoping that somewhere, Bridget was getting a chill.
Tommy stood there for a few seconds, taking in the heat and the flames before he made his way out of the melting store and into his car. He closed his car door and sped out of the alley way, laughing still. He could hear the police sirens coming closer and closer as he got farther away still. He made sure to get as far away from the place as possible, before pulling over. He pulled out his phone and checked the time. It was almost midnight. He smiled and pulled out the cherry sucker, unwrapping it and popping it into his mouth. He watched as the time on his phone turned to midnight, and smiled evilly as the flavor of his candy reminded him of what he had just done.
It was a new day for the students of Esperer High now.
